Verstegen clamshell grab for ore handling
Most ores and minerals are quite heavy and abrasive and sometimes the materials are difficult to penetrate. Therefore these materials require a different designed grab.
Verstegen ore grabs are specially adjusted to handled these materials.
Extra closing force
The Verstegen ore grab has extra closing force to improve the penetration and ensure a good filling of the scales. The scales of the Verstegen ore grabs are designed to minimise "digging resistance" during grab closing.
High wear resistance
Special attention has been paid to the wear resistance of the scales.
The reinforced scales are made from high tensile wear resistant Hardox steel.
To minimise wear on the cutting edges, special wear profiles can be installed.
