In order not to increase the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere biomass fuel is becoming more populair. The simplest example of a biomass fuel is wood (chips or pellets).

Because wood chips are very light (density ± 0.3 ton/M3) the orange peel grabs have high capacities. Verstegen grabs for wood chips are available with capacities up to 60 M3.
The grabs are provided with fully enclosed scales to minimise material loss.
Wood pellets are a type of wood fuel, generally made from compacted sawdust.
Pellets are relative small (ø6-8 mm), free flowing and can be handled practically dust free.
Wood pellets are normally not handled with an orange peel grab.
Wood chips require at least three times the storage space as wood pellets for the same energy content.
